Skincare R&D Manager
We are seeking a seasoned R&D Manager who will be responsible for leading innovation, managing project timelines, and overseeing product development in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This position requires a strategic thinker with robust technical expertise who can drive product development from ideation to market launch.

Description
- Lead and manage the R&D team to drive the development of new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business strategies.
- Oversee the project timeline and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance product quality and performance.
- Evaluate emerging trends in the FMCG industry to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company guidelines.
- Manage budget for R&D department and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Profile
A successful 'R&D Manager' should have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- 5 yrs of experience in skincare formulation within the cosmetics industry, preferably at a CDMO.
- 2-3 yrs of direct management experience with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing successful skincare products from concept to market.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in formulation and product development.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Established industry presence and strong customer relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Experience with clean and high-performing formulations, with a focus on sustainable and eco-friendly ingredient sourcing.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetic products in major markets (e.g., FDA, MOCRA, EU).
- In-depth knowledge of key active ingredients (e.g., retinoids, peptides, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants), raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, and other cosmetic ingredients.
- Experience with advanced skincare technologies, such as peptides, antioxidants, and delivery systems.
