The Quality Manager will oversee the quality program at a fast-growing aerospace and defense manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards while driving process improvements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to advocate for customers and enhance product quality in aerospace and medical applications.

Description

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Shop Incident Reports (SIR) systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • Support on-time delivery through timely completion of quality assurance documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to document and implement quality plans.
  • Facilitate training and certification for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspections and personnel.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce quality issues

Profile

The successful Quality Manager will have the following:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years in quality management within aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Quality Standards Knowledge: Proficient in ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance and audits.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of defense contracts, FAR clauses, and military inspections.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive approach with Six Sigma and root cause corrective action training.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading teams and driving quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
