Industrial Engineer - Westerly, Rhode Island
The Industrial Engineer with provide technical expertise and support to cross functional teams throughout the textile manufacture. In this role you will be challenged to troubleshoot machinery, maintain equipment, and drive improvements across the plant.

Description
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for:
- Participating in and supporting the research, designing, and developing of electromechanical and industrial systems, equipment, and new automation technologies.
- Performing tasks related to designing, fabricating, operating, applying, installing, and repairing new or existing machinery and systems, including following through with testing phases and troubleshooting until proper operation is achieved.
- Routinely working on the production floor for troubleshooting and repairing machinery and systems.
- Contributing to mechanical engineering design projects, including modifying products, improving processes, and exploring new machinery or equipment that may enhance product quality.
- Estimating project hours, costs, product expenses, and timelines for successful execution.
- Developing part and assembly designs, creating drawings, and documenting repairs and improvements for future troubleshooting.
- Using AutoCAD for developing solid models and creating assembly drawings.
- Creating project schedules, technical reports, SOPs, and general correspondence.
- Conducting quality assurance reviews of designed and engineered machinery and systems.
- Maintaining and improving documentation, including operating procedures, specifications, and work instructions.

Profile
A successful Industrial Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate-level Excel skills.
- Skilled in supporting production and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
- Experienced in writing SOPs and developing troubleshooting documentation and maps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective in delivering training and presentations.
- Familiarity with ISO principles is a plus.
- LEAN/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
