Real Estate Paralegal

Description

  • Prepare and review documents for residential and commercial real estate closings, including contracts of sale, loan documents, and closing statements
  • Coordinate all aspects of real estate transactions from inception to closing
  • Conduct and review title and lien searches, surveys, and UCC filings
  • Manage due diligence, including zoning and property searches
  • Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, brokers, title companies, and other parties involved in the transaction
  • Draft closing checklists and ensure all pre-closing requirements are met
  • Handle post-closing documentation and filings, including recording of documents and preparing closing binders
  • Maintain organized case files and monitor key transaction dates and deadlines
  • Provide general administrative support related to real estate transactions

Profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in New York City, with hands-on experience in both residential and commercial transactions
  • Strong working knowledge of NYC real estate practices, contracts, and closing procedures
  • Experience handling title, survey, and loan documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant legal or real estate software
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
