Project Accountant
The Project Accountant is responsible for managing all project accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, preparing client billings, tracking subcontractor payments, and ensuring timely project closeouts. This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and internal personnel to ensure smooth financial operations.

Attend project award meetings and startup kickoffs
Request job numbers/division setups
Manage bonds, licenses, and buyout matrices
Understand client contract terms for billing and reporting
Prepare and submit client billings
Collect subcontractor waivers and coordinate project closeouts
Release Notices of Completion and follow up on accounts receivable
Enter budgets, contracts, and change orders in Sage
Attend production calls and project meetings
Track payment status and verify subcontractor compliance
Manage preliminary notices and dual-party check agreements
Recommend selected subcontractor payments weekly
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
2+ years of project accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Sage; advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Event 1/Office Connector experience a plus
