Manufacturing Engineer - Industrial Manufacturer
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding team. This role will focus on improving processes, driving lean initiatives, analyzing capacity, and leading continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall operational performance.

Employing more than 600 people globally, they serve the automotive, aerospace, and medical device markets through facilities in Asia and Europe. The company specializes in advanced metal forming processes and has achieved consistent growth in recent years.
Description
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Create, update, and sustain standardized work instructions, visual management tools, and process documentation.
- Lead and support Lean manufacturing efforts, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events, standard work development, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Perform time studies and work measurement to establish reliable labor standards and production rates.
- Support labor planning, staffing strategies, and capacity analysis across multiple product families.
- Partner with Operations to balance workloads, optimize line flow, and improve overall efficiency.
- Conduct capacity modeling and throughput analysis to support production planning and capital investment decisions.
- Analyze operational performance metrics such as OEE, scrap, downtime, and cycle times to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support corrective and preventive action processes, including root cause analysis, PFMEA updates, and control plans.
- Assist with plant layout optimization, material flow improvements, and ergonomic enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors and Operators to implement improvements on the shop floor.
- Contribute to cost reduction efforts and productivity improvements aligned with overall business objectives.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree within engineering or a related field
- Background in metals manufacturing
- Willingness to be on the floor (Role will be 80% on the floor/20% data analysis)
- Process improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience with heat treatment, plating, and/or metallurgy is a plus
- Experience with Kaizen events, 5S, value stream, time studies, and/or scrap reduction is a plus

Job Offer
- Base salary of $85k-$110k depending on experience
- Blue Cross Blue Shield (Medical, Vision, Dental)
- 17 days of PTO start (Increasing after 1 year with organization)
- 401k matching up to 5.5%
