Senior Project Engineer - Commercial Shell Construction

Client Details
This reputable Shell GC focuses on commercial shell construction work, local to Fort Lauderdale and taking on work throughout South and Central Florida. Commercial projects include healthcare, institutional, hospitality, entertainment facilities and they focus on industrial, structural and restoration work. They pride themselves on having a team with a positive, hardworking attitude and offer competitive salaries. They are looking to have a senior project manager join their growing team.
Description
- Oversee and manage the engineering processes of commercial shell construction projects.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving for field issues.
- Conduct project inspections and ensure high-quality standards are met.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in commercial shell construction as project engineer.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
