Description
The main responsibilities for the Manufacturing Team lead are:
- Process Development and Optimization: Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment while continuously improving existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address production challenges such as equipment issues, quality concerns, and delays, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions.
- Project Management: Plan and execute manufacturing projects, including new product launches, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Equipment and Facility Support: Ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment by coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Partner with R&D, quality, and production teams to integrate new products into manufacturing processes and provide technical support for product design changes.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of processes, equipment specifications, and improvements in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all manufacturing activities meet safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations.
Profile
The successful Manufacturing Team Lead will have the following background:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
Skills:
- Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software, PDM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as laser and TIG welding, CNC machining, and electromechanical assembly. Experience with electrical components, systems, and soldering is a plus.
- Knowledge of metrology techniques, GD&T, and design of fixtures or production cells for innovative processing methods.
- Experience in automation is beneficial.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement practices.
- Interested in continuous learning and staying current with advancements in manufacturing technologies, including automation and robotics.
