My client is looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join their team based out of Washington, DC. They are a general contracting firm that has been in business for about 20 years. Their portfolio includes schools, parks, and recreational facilities, where they consistently deliver renovations and upgrades that enhance community spaces.
Description
This role involves leading construction projects from initial concept through to completion, with a focus on aligning every aspect with the client's vision and goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure all project components are aligned.
- Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
- Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to provide accurate cost assessments.
- Identifying potential risks and challenges associated with the project.
- Developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project feasibility.
- Ensuring that all project activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a General Contractor.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Prior experience managing K-12 projects, with a strong understanding of the unique requirements in educational construction.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address project challenges.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively, consistently delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
