Description

The Quality Manager (Industrial Metal Manufacturing) Will:

• Develop and manage the quality manual, processes, and procedures for rejected materials.
• Oversee daily quality control for both incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with ASTM and ANSI standards.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, purchasing, and customers to implement and maintain quality standards.
• Lead and manage the quality system across all locations, ensuring it adapts to changing requirements.
• Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits, with a focus on supplier quality and customer audits.
• Utilize metrology knowledge to validate product quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Generate regular reports to track and manage quality issues across the organization.
• Guide and mentor future quality team members as the department grows.
• Ensure that all materials meet customer specifications through rigorous testing and inspection.
• Collaborate with various teams to resolve quality control issues in real-time.
• Provide leadership in maintaining and improving the overall quality system.

Profile

• Candidates with Quality Engineer (QE) experience looking to step into a Quality Manager (QM) role are encouraged to apply!
• Strong attention to detail in all aspects of quality assurance and control.
• Background in industrial or manufacturing settings, with experience in industrial manufacturing and metals preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, particularly in certification and implementation.
• Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
• Proficiency in computer systems and database management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of testing, version control, and defect management best practices.
• Experience with both internal and external audits, especially with suppliers and customer audits.
• Professional certification such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is desired.
• Understanding of ASTM, SAE, and ANSI standards; experience with Aluminum Standards & Data a plus.
