Business Development Director - Commercial Construction
Our client is seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development. You will be responsible for driving the growth of our client's business by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and securing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercial construction industry, a strong network, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase company revenue and market share.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets, including government, private sector, and institutional clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Lead proposal efforts, including responding to RFPs, preparing presentations, and overseeing the bidding process.
- Work closely with senior leadership and project management teams to ensure a smooth transition from business development to project execution.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully securing new business and managing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, including preconstruction, bidding, and project execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and lead a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- A well-established network of industry contacts and relationships with key decision-makers.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
