Director of Construction
The Director of Construction will oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial ground-up and environmental construction projects. With a strong focus on sustainability, this role will provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while adhering to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Description
Lead and manage the planning, design, and execution of commercial ground-up and environmental construction projects.
Provide strategic leadership, setting clear objectives and ensuring alignment across project teams.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and contracts, ensuring all projects meet financial and timeline goals.
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
Foster a collaborative work environment, guiding and mentoring project managers, engineers, and construction teams.
Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in sustainable construction and green building.
Lead efforts to implement environmental initiatives, such as LEED certification and other sustainable building practices.
Resolve complex project challenges and mitigate risks, ensuring the successful completion of each project.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing large commercial ground-up construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates with environmental or sustainability expertise. You will be a natural leader, capable of managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and handling the full project lifecycle. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is a deep understanding of construction processes, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
10+ years of experience in commercial ground-up construction, with a preference for environmental or sustainable building projects.
Proven leadership in managing large teams and overseeing complex projects from inception to completion.
Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, green building standards, and sustainability practices.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
