Senior Auditor
The Senior Auditor will plan, execute, and complete complex audits in accordance with department. The role includes financial, operational, and compliance based audits.
Client Details
Client is a Retail and Commercial Bank looking to expand its Internal Audit Function.
Description
- Conduct and oversee complex audits in alignment with department standards and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) professional guidelines.
- Supervise staff in the execution of audit projects, review completed workpapers for compliance, and provide constructive feedback to enhance auditor development.
- Perform annual and periodic risk assessments of auditable entities, coordinating with co-sourced and external auditors for various audits and financial reporting control testing.
- Engage in all aspects of audit activities, including risk assessments, planning, testing, control evaluation, documentation, and report drafting.
- Communicate with management regarding control weaknesses, providing guidance on issue severity and recommended action plans.
- Apply critical thinking and judgment to influence stakeholders in strengthening the control environment.
- Stay informed of relevant laws, regulations, industry trends, and technological advancements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Bank policies and procedures, with occasional travel required for branch audits, meetings, or training.
Profile
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor Certification
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Certified Information System Audit (CISA) preferred
- Internal Banking audit background
- 5+ years of internal audit experience
- Familiarity with banking operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
