Project Manager - Ground Up Construction
Opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to oversee large‑scale ground‑up retail projects for national clients including Walmart, Sam's Club, and other big‑box brands.
Ideal for a driven leader skilled in complex site development, schedule control, and client-facing project delivery.

A long‑standing national general contractor specializing in large‑scale ground‑up retail construction for major big‑box brands. Known for their exclusive partnerships, consistent project pipeline, and stable leadership team, they offer an environment that values accountability, professionalism, and long‑term growth.
Description
- Lead large-scale ground-up retail projects ($10M-$80M+).
- Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Act as primary client liaison for major national retailers.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Conduct site walks and ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
- Oversee subcontractor negotiations, change orders, and documentation.
- Review schedules, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Run OAC meetings and internal updates.
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, and turnover packages.
- Mentor junior PMs, PEs, and field staff.
Profile
- 10+ years in commercial construction
- Strong experience with Walmart, Sam's Club, or comparable big‑box clients (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Expertise in site development, structural systems & MEP coordination.
- Proficient with project software: Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
