Swiss Manufacturing Engineer
This role is responsible for designing, improving, and supporting precision Swiss‑type machining processes, with a strong focus on manufacturability, quality, and efficiency. The position partners closely with machining, programming, and quality teams to take complex components from concept through stable production.

Description
- Design, develop, and optimize Swiss‑type machining processes for complex, precision components
- Collaborate with machining, programming, quality, and engineering teams to support new product launches and ongoing production
- Create and refine process documentation, work instructions, tooling layouts, and manufacturing routings
- Provide hands-on support to the shop floor, troubleshooting machining, tooling, and process issues as needed
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and process stability
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality or production issues
- Evaluate machining methods, tooling, and fixturing to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Assist with capacity planning, process validation, and production readiness for new and existing programs
- Serve as a technical resource for Swiss machining best practices and process standardization
Profile
- Proven experience supporting Swiss‑type CNC machining in a precision manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and GD&T for tight‑tolerance components
- Experience working in high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume production environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex machining and process issues directly on the shop floor
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with machinists, programmers, and quality teams
- Solid problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Comfortable balancing desk‑based engineering work with hands‑on manufacturing support
- Experience with continuous improvement, cost reduction, or cycle time optimization initiatives
