Payroll Administrator
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and managing payroll records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll best practices and at least three years of payroll experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment. Experience using ADP is highly preferred.

This role is with a well-established law firm with offices in Connecticut and Florida, known for our exceptional client service and collegial environment. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Stamford, CT office. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across both locations.
Description
- Process biweekly payroll for multi-state employees (CT and FL) using ADP
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in salary or deductions
- Audit payroll data for accuracy and address any discrepancies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions
- Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders and auditors as needed
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment on employee data
- Manage year-end processes including W-2 distribution and payroll tax filings
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with integrity
Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now or similar platform) required
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and tax regulations (CT and FL experience a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in data entry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
