Accounting Manager
This role will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for overseeing critical components of the month-end close, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. Reporting to the Controller, this position will manage a Senior Accountant and take ownership of designated accounting areas, while also contributing to the continued build-out and scalability of the function.

Description
- Manage assigned areas of the month-end close, including preparation, review, and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Oversee and review the work of a Senior Accountant, providing guidance, feedback, and development support
- Partner across accounting functions to support an efficient and timely close process
- Lead daily treasury activities, including cash monitoring, transaction recording, and short-term cash forecasting
- Support weekly disbursement processes, including review of ACH and wire activity
- Assist with audit processes by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and maintaining supporting documentation
- Play a key role in the implementation and enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, partnering with Finance and IT to improve workflows and data integrity
- Identify and drive process improvements across accounting and treasury operations
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as business needs evolve
Profile
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience (minimum 2 years) preferred
- Industry experience strongly preferred
- CPA designation preferred
- Hands-on experience owning or contributing to the month-end close
- Prior experience reviewing work or mentoring junior staff preferred
- Strong understanding of balance sheet accounting and reconciliations
- Experience working within anERP system required
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central experience preferred
- Strong systems mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
