Description

• Develop and implement strategic supply chain and procurement plans to meet production goals.
• Analyze and forecast demand to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor and improve supply chain processes, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production schedules and resource allocation.
• Utilize data-driven insights to identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a results-driven and collaborative work environment.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance to senior management.

Profile

A successful Planning Manager should have:

• Proven expertise in production planning and supply chain within the industrial or manufacturing industry - specifically within batch or process manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize operations and resolve challenges effectively.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Excellent leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for supply chain management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• A degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
