Associate, Specialty Finance
An established alternative asset manager is seeking a highly motivated Associate Specialty Finance Underwriter with 2-5 years of experience in an opportunistic credit fund or a top-tier bank specializing in specialty finance or ABL. This role is instrumental in evaluating and underwriting new private credit opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, and ensuring sound credit structuring and risk assessment.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite new private credit transactions, ensuring rigorous financial and risk evaluation.
Lead business and financial due diligence efforts, including deep analysis of financial statements and industry trends.
Develop and maintain credit models for prospective investments, incorporating key risk factors and collateral verification.
Oversee the strategy pipeline process, tracking potential opportunities and market developments.
Manage ongoing portfolio and position-level monitoring, conducting regular performance assessments and reporting key findings.
Prepare detailed Investment Committee memos and deliver presentations outlining recommendations and risk assessments.
Profile
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience at an opportunistic credit fund or a top-tier bank specializing in specialty finance or ABL transactions.
Strong analytical skills, with expertise in credit modeling and financial due diligence.
Proficiency in collateral verification, risk assessment, and structuring private credit investments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting financial analyses and investment proposals.
Ability to manage multiple transactions, prioritize workflow, and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.
Job Offer
$145,000 - $180,000, bonus 50%-150%.
