R&D Engineer - Industrial Textiles - Merrimack, NH

Description
- Develop project plans, scope, timelines, and resources
- Lead cross‑functional teams to meet project deliverables
- Translate customer needs into product specifications
- Conduct research, competitive analysis, and testing
- Design and develop prototypes and proof of concepts
- Perform feasibility analysis using engineering principles
- Utilize modeling tools to analyze systems and data
- Develop and execute test methods and validation plans
- Write technical reports and present findings
- Author and review engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Lead issue tracking, risk analysis, and resolution
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Support lifecycle activities for new and existing products
- Improve processes, tools, and development methods
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulations
- Serve as customer advocate throughout development

Profile
A successful R&D Engineer should have:
- BS in Engineering or related field + 3 years experience
- Or MS degree with 1+ year experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (molding, extrusion)
- Experience with RCA tools (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detail‑oriented with strong time management
- Familiarity with MS Office and MS Project a plus
