Description

You will lead technical efforts to design, scale, and optimize spinning processes for the production of precursor fibers, playing a key role in the next generation of carbon fiber composites.

• Develop and scale fiber spinning processes from lab to commercial production
• Lead technical initiatives to improve safety, reliability, and process efficiency
• Apply expertise in solution spinning and precursor development to accelerate product launches
• Identify and resolve performance limitations in fiber production
• Support capital projects, technology transfers, and cross-functional integration
• Stay current with research and contribute to continuous innovation in fiber technologies

Profile

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field (preferred), with 5+ years of fiber process/product development experience

  or Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Strong background in polyacrylonitrile (PAN) or solution spinning (preferred)
• Demonstrated success scaling R&D to industrial manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with pilot operations and strong collaboration with engineering/production teams
• Proven ability to lead and contribute in cross-functional environments
