Lead technical efforts to design, scale, and optimize spinning processes for the production of precursor fibers. Develop and scale fiber spinning processes from lab to commercial production.

Description
You will lead technical efforts to design, scale, and optimize spinning processes for the production of precursor fibers, playing a key role in the next generation of carbon fiber composites.
- Develop and scale fiber spinning processes from lab to commercial production
- Lead technical initiatives to improve safety, reliability, and process efficiency
- Apply expertise in solution spinning and precursor development to accelerate product launches
- Identify and resolve performance limitations in fiber production
- Support capital projects, technology transfers, and cross-functional integration
- Stay current with research and contribute to continuous innovation in fiber technologies
Profile
-
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field (preferred), with 5+ years of fiber process/product development experience
or Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience - Strong background in polyacrylonitrile (PAN) or solution spinning (preferred)
- Demonstrated success scaling R&D to industrial manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with pilot operations and strong collaboration with engineering/production teams
- Proven ability to lead and contribute in cross-functional environments
