They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor to join their finance team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Description

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable department, ensuring the efficient management of all incoming payments and resolution of customer account issues. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing cash flow, and supporting overall financial health. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in managing accounts receivable processes within a manufacturing environment.

  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounts receivable professionals. Provide guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Account Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts receivable operations.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts, addressing and resolving any payment-related issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and collection activities to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure alignment on customer account issues and resolution.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs for accounts receivable staff on best practices, company policies, and software tools.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial principles.
