The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager (PM) in commercial construction/renovation projects, primarily within the commercial, retail, and K-12 sectors. Experience working on multiple jobs at a time.

My client is a fast growing General Contractor in Loundon Counrt VA that has grown tripled in size over the last 3 years. They are a family oriented tight knit general contractor with strong leadership coming from a top ENR firms. They are looking for hard working, entrepreneurial, motivated, and outgoing individuals who are looking to grow into future leaders. They are about 30 people and specialize in Municipal/Local Government, Small Base Building, Corporate Interiors, Renewable Energy, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality.

Description

• Assist Project Manager in execution of management plan for assigned project (submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes)
• Help coordinate and manage project from inception to completion
• Review project designs and contribute ideas for cutting costs
• Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner
• Track and directly report project status updates to project manager
• Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents
• Punch Lists for close out of projects

Profile

• 2+ years of experience with a commercial General Contractor in project management
• Estimating experience is a plus
• Experience working on jobs simultaneously is required
• OSHA 30 preferred
• B.S. preferred
