Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in hospital interior renovations, with a strong understanding of the challenges involved in working in occupied healthcare spaces. You will oversee and manage multiple renovation projects in hospitals across Richmond, contributing to the company's efforts to expand into new markets.

The Superintendent - Hospital Renovations - Richmond will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of healthcare renovation projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and under budget.
  • Oversee field operations, working directly with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure a high standard of safety and professionalism, especially in occupied and sensitive hospital areas such as ICU or birthing units.
  • Maintain communication with hospital staff and stakeholders to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues promptly and efficiently to keep projects on track.
  • Support the development of junior staff and help build a strong team culture.

Profile

The Superintendent - Hospital Renovations - Richmond will have the following qualifications:

  • MUST have experience working in occupied healthcare spaces, specifically in hospital interiors.
  • At least 3 years of recent hospital renovation experience.
  • Strong background in MEP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a professional, respectful manner in high-stress, sensitive environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Job Offer

The Superintendent - Hospital Renovations - Richmond will receive:

  • Base Salary: $105,000+ (commensurate with experience), with flexibility up to $135,000 for highly qualified candidates.
  • Health Insurance: Covers 54% of premiums; dental and vision options available (1 plan). Coverage begins on day 1.
  • HSA: Eligible from day 1; $2,500 for individual, $5,000 for family.
  • 401K: Company match available.
  • Vehicle Allowance: $1,000 per month with expectation of using vehicle for project-related activities.
  • Home Depot & Amazon Prime for Business: Provided to help support your day-to-day needs.
  • PTO: 2-3 weeks per year, depending on the role, with flexibility.
  • Paid Holidays: 7 paid holidays per year.
