IT Asset Inventory Consultant (ITAM)

We're seeking an ITAM Consultant with expertise in the complete asset management lifecycle, particularly focused on software assets rather than just hardware handling or usage. The ideal candidate will have experience with ITAM and the ITIL framework and must be able to work fully onsite in NYC.

A Wealth Management Firm known for its extensive range of financial products and services, including asset management, risk management, and advisory services.

Description

• Maintain and reconcile accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and mobile devices, while assisting with asset management system upkeep.

• Manage IT inventory levels, process purchase orders, and coordinate deliveries to support smooth business operations.

• Oversee proper decommissioning and secure disposal of obsolete IT equipment in line with company policies and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with IT teams to capture accurate asset data, support asset-related inquiries, and assist with audits and compliance efforts.

Profile

• Strong understanding of the IT Asset Management lifecycle, including hardware and software tracking, license compliance, and asset disposition; ITIL knowledge is required

• Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills to support effective communication and accurate asset management.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of IT asset management fundamentals is required

• Financial Services experience is a plus but not mandatory; candidates must clearly explain their IT Asset Management experience in detail.
