Description
The Automation Engineering Manager will oversee the development of new manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company capabilities. This position involves managing experiments, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting automated systems while leading project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage design and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
- Oversee assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automated systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians while driving continuous improvement.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, proven leadership experience, and expertise in automation and machine design. Familiarity with plastics processing and proficiency in CAD tools are highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- 3+ years in product/process development and 2+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience with machine design, plastics fabrication, and SolidWorks.
