Quality Assurance Specialist- Darien, CT- Chemical
The Quality Assurance Specialist (Chemical) will be responsible for document control, complaint resolution, quality audits, and maintaining material setups in SAP. This role requires a detail-oriented problem solver with experience in quality management systems, ERP software, and laboratory or quality environments at the Darien, CT facility.

Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist (Chemical) will:
- Maintain and update material setups in the ERP (SAP) system.
- Oversee document control and improve documentation processes.
- Manage material releases, recertifications, and lab sample submissions.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and internal nonconformances.
- Conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and QMS requirements.
- Analyze SPC data and troubleshoot SAP shipment or CoA issues.
- Support specification creation, revision, and customer documentation requests.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and complete surveys or questionnaires.
- Drive root cause investigations and develop corrective actions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping for quality processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support quality and compliance objectives at the Darien, CT facility.
Profile
The successful Quality Assurance Specialist (Chemical) will have:
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Lab environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001; auditor certification is a plus.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with document control, quality audits, and complaint resolution.
- Ability to analyze and interpret quality data, including SPC analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong record-keeping abilities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
