Plastics Manufacturing - Plastics Engineer- Nashua, NH
The Plastics Engineer will apply expertise in Scientific Molding and process validation to optimize injection molding processes. They'll work with automotive standards, automation, and quality systems while managing projects from concept to production. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, and experience with RJG systems and secondary operations is a plus, along with a strong willingness to learn.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing, validation, and documentation of new products, molds, processes, or equipment.
- Support the quoting process for tools and parts.
- Provide training to Process Technicians on troubleshooting and resolving processing issues.
- Continuously optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Drive ongoing process improvements through enhancements in materials, tooling, processes, and automation.
- Assist with daily production activities and troubleshoot existing manufacturing processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) as necessary.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure alignment and resolve technical matters.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment across the organization.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering or related field
- Proficient in Scientific Molding techniques
- Experienced with process validation following IQ/OQ/PQ protocols
- Knowledge of, or eagerness to learn, automotive standards such as PPAP, PFMEA, and APQP
- Familiarity with injection molding automation systems
- Understanding of Quality and SPC methodologies and compliance requirements
- Strong project management skills, from concept through production
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Experience with RJG systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of secondary manufacturing processes like welding, decorating, and machining
