Description
Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to compute accurate project costs
Review blueprints, proposals, specifications, and documentation to prepare detailed estimates
Resolve discrepancies by gathering and interpreting relevant project information
Assemble and present detailed numerical and descriptive estimate packages
Produce special reports by analyzing trends and summarizing project data
Conduct conceptual, schematic, and design development budget estimates
Manage take-offs at all project levels and apply accurate unit pricing
Review plans and documentation for consistency and accuracy
Collaborate with team members during the bidding and proposal process
Grow into a leadership role within the estimating and preconstruction group
Profile
5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
Experience preparing bids for projects valued at $5 million+
A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and cost structures
OSHA certification preferred
Familiarity with estimating software and digital take-off tools
A detail-oriented mindset and excellent analytical skills
Team-first attitude with a drive to lead and grow
