Client Details
- Currently a $50-$60M commercial general contractor with a growth plan to hit $100M by the end of 2025. Regardless of this growth they plan to keep the family culture / small company feel and values.
- Currently sit at 27 people including the 3 partners. This firm has very low turnover - have only lost a couple individuals since 2020.
- Have a very diverse portfolio of commercial construction work with projects from $50K - $45M.
- Located in Kansas City, MO with all their work local to the Greater Kansas City area.
- This firm does a great job of bridging the field and office individuals to feel as if they are one team.
Description
- Manage all day-to-day field activities.
- Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids.
- Lead the team with appropriate construction project planning and developing site logistics.
- Maintain strong relationships with municipalities for potential future business.
- Schedule on-site inspections as needed along with the jobs site.
- Review all bids for work, as well as supervising the inspection of work.
- Ensure all proper signage is posted on the construction job site, and all safety requirements.
- Work closely with job investors and maintain professional attitude.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
- Keep daily and weekly construction work logs.
- Ensure good time management and to have timely completion of projects.
- Monitor job subcontractors to ensure safety guidelines are met.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
- OSHA certified.
- Experience leading and scheduling integrated teams.
- Multi-family, ground-up or TI required.
- Proficiency in Procore.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- True leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or one similar.
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- New construction and ground-up experience.
- True leadership experience managing teams.
