Manufacturing - Tool Design Engineer - Belmont, NH
As a Tool Design Engineer, you will design, draft, and troubleshoot cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing. You will also lead projects to improve manufacturing processes and engineering practices, ensuring efficient and effective production.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, draw, and troubleshoot the setup and operation of cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing.
- Ensure the effective operation of tools and fixtures throughout the production process.
- Conceive, plan, and execute projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and operational issues.
- Continuously improve tooling design to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Test and refine new tool designs, ensuring compatibility with existing production processes.
- Maintain and update documentation related to tool designs, setups, and modifications.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a comparable field is preferred, although a minimum of an Associate Degree in a related discipline is required for consideration.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tool design, with a proven track record of creating and optimizing tools for manufacturing applications.
- Proficiency in CAD software is essential, with extensive experience in SolidWorks highly preferred, as well as the ability to create detailed models and drawings for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is necessary, as these tools will be used for creating reports, presentations, and managing project documentation effectively.
