MEP Manager - Federal Construction - DC Metro
The MEP Manager will lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on large-scale projects. This role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and keeping projects on schedule and budget. The MEP Manager will be essential in delivering high-quality federal, commercial, and data center projects.

Our client is a premier general contractor with a $7B+ backlog and $6B in annual revenue, headquartered in McLean, VA. They specialize in delivering large-scale projects across multiple sectors, including federal government (largest sector), sports stadiums, affordable housing, and data centers.
Description
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all MEP systems within assigned projects.
Ensure MEP components comply with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality execution of work.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve technical challenges.
Conduct quality control checks and inspections to maintain high standards.
Monitor project timelines and budgets to prevent delays and cost overruns.
Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring efficient workflows and knowledge sharing.
Review and approve MEP-related documents, including drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
Provide solutions for any on-site issues or discrepancies related to MEP installations.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Profile
5+ years of experience in MEP management within the general contracting industry.
Proven track record of managing projects valued at $20M+.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and ensure project efficiency.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in large-scale commercial or government projects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to federal project requirements.
Self-sufficient professional who can hit the ground running with minimal training.
Job Offer
Competitive salary ($105K-$120K for MEP Manager, up to $165K for Senior MEP Manager + $7,200 car allowance or company vehicle).
8-10% annual performance bonus, project-based bonuses, and sign-on bonuses.
