Description

  • Manage day‑to‑day onsite construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Lead and supervise field staff, subcontractors, and specialty trades throughout all phases of construction.
  • Coordinate daily activities, resolve onsite issues, and maintain clear communication with project teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust the project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to maintain workflow and project milestones.
  • Conduct daily and weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress, upcoming work, and any risks.
  • Ensure all work meets contract documents, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify craftsmanship and adherence to plans.
  • Identify deficiencies and coordinate timely corrections.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and site‑specific safety plans.
  • Lead daily 'toolbox talks' and safety walkthroughs.
  • Immediately address unsafe practices or conditions and maintain all required documentation.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation.
  • Track labor, materials, equipment usage, and any delays or changes.
  • Support the Project Manager with information needed for RFIs, change orders, and client updates.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and support site inspections from governing authorities and third‑party consultants.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions proactively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate potential issues and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Resolve conflicts among trades, sequencing challenges, and unforeseen site conditions.
  • Oversee site setup, security, access control, signage, and traffic flow.
  • Plan site logistics to ensure efficient material handling and worker movement.

Profile

  • 5+ years of construction experience working for a general contractor in a Superintendent role
  • Must have previous project experience >15 million dollars
  • Proven track record overseeing ground up construction projects from start to finish, including initial site work phases
  • Applicable project management software proficiency (Procore, AutoDesk, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective team-building skills to support a positive team atmosphere & meet high productivity goals
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
