The Senior Quality Engineer Aerospace Manufacturing will oversee quality assurance for the aerospace spaceflight cryocooler production line, ensuring adherence to stringent engineering designs, processes, and manufacturing standards. This role will focus on continuous improvement, technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality output in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

Description

The Senior Quality Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:

  • Serve on the Quality Internal Audit Team, auditing spaceflight procedures per approved documentation.
  • Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification efforts.
  • Collaborate with program management to evaluate and comply with customer quality requirements.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance Program Plans as needed.
  • Interface with customer quality representatives.
  • Participate in contract and product design reviews with customers.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to prevent quality issues.
  • Work within deadlines to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Provide weekly status updates to the Quality Manager.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, able to follow instructions precisely and work independently.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft
  • Be onsite at our Nelsonville, Ohio facility

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience, aerospace preferred - our ideal candidate will be coming from a Senior / Quality Engineer role
  • Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of processes, engineering designs, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience writing technical/process documents and reading technical specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
  • ISO experience highly desirable.
  • Local to Nelsonville, Ohio
