Quality Manager l Chemical Manufacturing Organization
Our client is looking for a Quality Manager to join their organization that manufactures specialty Chemicals. This role will be located in the South Suburbs near Crest Hill, IL and will play a key role in developing the quality operations on a day to day basis.

Description
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the plant's quality management system (QMS).
- Ensure products meet all internal and external specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Lead and manage the QA/QC team, including chemists, lab technicians, and inspectors.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues.
- Manage internal audits and coordinate third-party audits (e.g., ISO certifications, customer audits).
- Review and approve certificates of analysis (CoAs), batch records, and test results.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, EHS, and R&D teams to maintain quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC.
- Maintain and enforce compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, FDA, REACH).
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of quality experience in a chemical manufacturing environment; acid manufacturing preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, cGMP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Experience managing lab operations, analytical testing, and chemical specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with quality software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
