Quality Manager - Electronics Manufacturing - Liverpool, NY
The Quality Manager will ensure the quality of products throughout their lifecycle, from development to manufacturing and distribution, by overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, procedures, and standards. The role involves providing leadership to ensure compliance, capability, and continuous improvement in all quality-related processes at our Liverpool, NY location.

My client is an established electronics manufacturing company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality electronic controls. With over four decades of experience, they specialize in providing custom solutions for both original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and the aftermarket, across a variety of industries including HVAC, electrical, appliances, pool & spa, marine, and recreational vehicles (RVs). The company operates out of a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, allowing them to maintain control over production and deliver technologically advanced products that meet customer needs efficiently.

Description
The Quality Manager - Electronic Manufacturing - will:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality plan, including tracking and reporting key performance metrics (e.g., nonconforming materials, customer returns, first-pass yield).
- Lead and support process improvement efforts to reduce variation, improve product consistency, and optimize productivity and cost efficiency.
- Oversee the disposition of non-conforming materials and ensure efficient handling.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and update work instructions and batch records.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015/ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Supervise and guide the quality team in daily duties and ensure product quality throughout production.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Development teams to ensure product supply and support new product introduction.
- Work with Purchasing to establish quality requirements with external suppliers.
- Conduct regular audits, develop corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Monitor and assess process performance using statistical data, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop training programs to address quality-related knowledge gaps within the team.
- Provide input on capital upgrades to enhance process capability and improve product yields.

Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in an applied science or engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Manager role.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and communicating technical materials.
- Strong experience with automated information systems and computers.
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, including understanding and using measuring devices (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on manufacturing processes.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and managing diverse projects with varying complexities.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to meet objectives despite changing priorities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for reports and correspondence.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, utilizing data and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remain motivated with minimal supervision
