East Coast Sales Rep - Spray Nozzle Manufacturer
- Identify and target new business opportunities within industries that rely on spray nozzle technology, including manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, automotive, and industrial cleaning.

Our client is a custom manufacturer of spray nozzles used in the pulp & paper, chemical, agricultural, electronic, and renewable sectors. The company is based in Illinois and has 6 production facilities globally.
Description
- Identify and target new business opportunities within industries that rely on spray nozzle technology, including manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, automotive, and industrial cleaning.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, actively prospecting for new leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Leverage deep technical knowledge of spray nozzle products and systems to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design and recommend custom nozzle solutions based on application requirements and performance goals.
- Conduct in-depth product demonstrations, application reviews, and on-site evaluations to ensure the best fit for customer needs.
- Develop long-term, trusting relationships with key decision-makers, project managers, and procurement teams.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling complementary products.
- Present technical product information and value propositions to customers through meetings, webinars, and product demonstrations.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical proposals and quotations tailored to customer specifications, including pricing, delivery timelines, and product details.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams to ensure timely product delivery and technical assistance.
- Provide feedback on customer requirements and market trends to guide product development and improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to management on performance, pipeline progress, and opportunities.
- This role requires approximately 50% travel to visit customer sites, provide technical support, and attend industry trade shows and conferences.
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in manufacturing, spray nozzle solutions, or related industries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of spray nozzle applications and systems across various sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, or automotive is a significant plus.
- Strong technical background in spray nozzle technology, fluid dynamics, and industrial applications.
- Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record in outside sales, including prospecting, closing deals, and meeting sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage a remote territory effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field is preferred, though not required.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable using virtual communication tools (Zoom, Teams) for remote presentations and meetings.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% for client visits, site inspections, and trade shows.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
