Public Works Construction Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Works Construction Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting the execution of complex projects in the field. Description
Public Works Construction Project Engineer will:
Work on-site to support project execution and ensure field operations align with project plans
Assist in planning, design, and implementation phases from concept through completion
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to maintain schedule and budget targets
Perform technical calculations and contribute to engineering drawings and documentation
Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance
Identify and address project issues in real-time, providing technical support to field teams
Track project milestones and prepare status reports for stakeholders
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
2+ years of experience in an engineering or building and construction project role
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in project management and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in an on-site, fast-paced project environment
Ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines
Job Offer
Public Works Construction Project Engineer Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, based on experience
