Estimator - Commercial General Contractor

$95,000 - $120,000/Year

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating and will play a key role in the preconstruction process-from analyzing plans and specifications to developing competitive bids and budgets.

We are looking for a talented Estimator to join our team and help lead the planning, design, and cost management of our exciting commercial construction projects.

Description

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to develop accurate and complete estimates

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and value engineering exercises

  • Ensure timely submission of proposals and RFP responses

  • Maintain historical cost data and continuously improve estimating tools and processes

Profile

  • 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction

  • Proven track record of estimating projects $10 million or higher

  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials

  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
