Project Manager- Concrete

$12,000 - $140,000/Year

The Concrete Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage concrete construction projects in Portland, Oregon. Will be responsible for planning and executing commercial and industrial concrete projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Candidate will have strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in structural and flatwork concrete construction.

Description



Project Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of concrete construction projects, including foundation work, slabs, tilt-up panels, structural concrete, sitework, and decorative concrete.

  • Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and budget constraints.



Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Prepare project estimates, budgets, and cost reports.

  • Monitor and control project costs, labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices while managing project cash flow.



Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and general contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Provide leadership in resolving construction challenges and ensuring projects stay on track.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment with a strong focus on teamwork and safety.



Client & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Maintain strong client relationships by providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring project expectations are met.

  • Conduct site visits and project meetings to assess progress and performance.



Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies on all job sites.

  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure proper training for crew members.

  • Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards.

Profile



Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in concrete construction project management.

  • Extensive knowledge of concrete materials, formwork systems, reinforcing steel, finishing techniques, and curing processes.

  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, and infrastructure concrete projects.



Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in construction project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.



Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

  • OSHA 30 Certification or other safety training.

  • ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification (preferred).
