Senior Estimator

Description

• Lead the preconstruction and estimating efforts for commercial and public projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, and equipment breakdowns.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to develop accurate budgets and schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and compliance.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software and maintain accurate cost databases.

Profile

• 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial and/or public sector construction.
• Strong knowledge of local market conditions, subcontractors, and suppliers in Florida.
• Expertise in estimating software such as ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
