Superintendent - Multifamily/Higher-Ed - DC Metro

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent /Area Superintendent with 1-5 years of experience to join their team. Reporting directly to a Senior Superintendent, you will oversee portions of large-scale construction projects, including multifamily, office, and higher-ed developments. The role will involve managing specific scopes of work such as rough-in, finishes, exterior skin, garage construction, or amenity centers, depending on the project.

Description

• Manage a portion of work on multifamily, office, and higher education construction projects
• Oversee day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and other construction team members to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain and update project schedules and communicate progress with senior management
• Handle safety and compliance protocols, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards (OSHA 30 required)
• Utilize Procore for project management and tracking
• Report to Senior Superintendent and assist with broader project coordination as needed

Profile

• Experience: 1-5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial or multifamily construction sector, ideally with a top 200 ENR GC
• Education: A college degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred
• Skills: Must be proficient in Procore and have a solid understanding of construction processes and project management
• Work Style: Must be stable in previous roles with a demonstrated desire to grow and develop professionally, under the mentorship of senior staff
• Certifications: OSHA 30 certification is required

Job Offer

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
• Car Allowance: $850/month
• Bonus: 15% annual performance-based bonus, with potential to exceed 20% as tenure and responsibilities grow
