Description

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through completion, including specification, design, documentation, testing, and customer presentation.
• Provide continuous engineering support for existing products, including BOM creation, drawing updates, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Perform engineering analyses, including mechanical calculations and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Apply knowledge of machine design and mechanical power transmission to new and existing systems.
• Design weldments, heavy structural components, and assemblies for manufacturability and reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure proper execution.
• Prepare and release engineering documentation in compliance with design standards.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring designs meet performance and cost objectives.

Profile

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
• Have 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in large machinery or electromechanical equipment design.
• Demonstrate expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals, machine design, and materials selection.
• Be proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Show understanding of U.S. and European engineering standards and codes.
• Have basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems and schematics.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
