Mechanical Engineer - Machine Design - Greater Buffalo
Lead mechanical design projects from concept through completion, including specification, design, documentation, testing, and customer presentation. Provide continuous engineering support for existing products, including BOM creation, drawing updates, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Description
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through completion, including specification, design, documentation, testing, and customer presentation.
- Provide continuous engineering support for existing products, including BOM creation, drawing updates, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Perform engineering analyses, including mechanical calculations and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Apply knowledge of machine design and mechanical power transmission to new and existing systems.
- Design weldments, heavy structural components, and assemblies for manufacturability and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure proper execution.
- Prepare and release engineering documentation in compliance with design standards.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring designs meet performance and cost objectives.

Profile
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- Have 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in large machinery or electromechanical equipment design.
- Demonstrate expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals, machine design, and materials selection.
- Be proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Show understanding of U.S. and European engineering standards and codes.
- Have basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems and schematics.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
