Senior Quality Engineer - Aerospace - Foxborough, MA
The Senior Quality Engineer will navigate product quality from entry to exit, ensuring that contracts, drawings, and processing changes align with quality standards while identifying and implementing corrective actions as needed. This role involves reviewing customer and quality system requirements, configuring quality plans for internal and external teams, and developing quality control instructions to guide inspectors, production personnel, and suppliers.

Description
The Senior Quality Engineer will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a quality system that meets certification and customer standards at an aerospace manufacturer
- Ensure product quality standards align with customer and quality system requirements.
- Communicate quality requirements to internal and external teams via plans, work instructions, and supplier notes.
- Plan, document, and create quality control instructions (Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, Control Plans) for inspectors, production staff, and suppliers.
- Establish quality system standards and create inspection, testing, and evaluation instructions for product conformity.
- Collaborate with experts to determine inspection techniques and sampling plans for efficient quality assurance.
- Drive continuous improvement with Statistical Process Control, suspect material analysis, and non-compliance management.
- Perform failure and root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions on quality issues.
- Review manufacturing processes and material handling to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Communicate promptly with customers on quality matters, lead quality audits, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Biomedical Engineering or related field) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer
- Experience with AS-9100 audits/certifications and quality management systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and expertise.
- Experience in customer interactions, including direct visits and acting as a liaison between engineering and customers.
- Proficient in internal auditing practices.
- Solid core quality skill set.
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
