We're seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile commercial projects in Nashville, TN. This role involves managing all phases of construction - from preconstruction through closeout - ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Team Leadership: Manage field staff, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules, proactively resolving issues to avoid delays or overruns.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges in the field with practical, cost-effective solutions that maintain project momentum.

Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with 5+ years of experience managing commercial projects ranging from $5M to $50M+. They are a confident leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and they thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project. OSHA 30 certification and a deep understanding of commercial building systems are highly valued.

Job Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally in sectors such as healthcare, education, retail, office, or mixed-use developments.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, and specifications.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.

Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Certifications (preferred but not required):

OSHA 30
PMP (Project Management Professional)
LEED Accreditation (if working on sustainable projects)
