Concrete Estimator
Be a concrete estimator for a family-owned Subcontractor that specializes in concrete for A-list Clients here in the Chicagoland area. Within this company, there is an exponential amount of room for growth, as well as great benefits and bonuses.
Client Details
Our client is a family owned and operated general contractor who has been around for over 50 years. They are seeking a concrete estimator for their commercial construction projects in the Chicago area. Our client works on projects ranging from $20K to $1M and projects are typically sized between .5 to 5 acres. All projects are located within a 90 mile radius of office.
Description
- Analyze blueprints and bid specifications
- Prepare takeoffs, quantities
- Determine material, equipment, and labor needed for bid
- Attend preconstruction meetings
- Prepare proposals and contracts
- Follow up with Client on submitted proposals
- Assist superintendents and monitor job progress
- Job site visits and meetings
- prepare and submit change orders
- Compile and submit invoices
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing new clients
Profile
* Five years of applicable construction experience
* Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field from an accredited institution of higher learning is preferred, although not required
* Possess an OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain
* Complete successful drug, MVR, and background screenings
* Willing to accept responsibility to acquire specialized training and continued education
* Strong knowledge of roof assemblies, application and design preferred
* Able to read, understand, and navigate through blueprints
Job Offer
- Base salary of $125,000 - $150,000, depending on experience
