Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to manage and oversee large-scale construction projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, on time, within budget, and with a focus on safety and quality standards.
The Assistant Project Manager - Education Projects - DC Area will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage ground-up building projects, each with a value of at least $20 million.
- Coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Track and report project progress, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and project goals are met.
- Maintain project budgets and forecasts, ensuring all financial targets are adhered to.
- Collaborate with departments and clients to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Use project management software to track, document, and communicate project details.
Profile
The Assistant Project Manager - Education Projects - DC Area will have:
- At least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in overseeing projects such as apartments, hospitals, schools, or libraries in the DMV area.
- Strong background in managing large-scale projects with values of $20 million or more.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel, and project management software such as PlanGrid, Procore, Sage 300 Timberline, and Textura.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
