My client is seeking a Senior Estimator based out of Gaithersburg, MD. They are a a respected family-owned business and have been a cornerstone of the construction industry since the early 1980s. With a dedicated team of 30+ employees and an impressive annual revenue of $30M+.

Their main projects include health care and commercial interiors, valuing $1M+.
Description
s a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the company's growth by providing accurate cost estimates, bidding on impactful projects, and ensuring successful project acquisition. You will work closely with the Director of Operations, fellow estimators, and project teams to uphold the company's reputation for precision and excellence in the interiors construction market.
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for interior construction projects, including tenant fit-outs, common areas, and healthcare/medical spaces.
- Manage a bidding pipeline of $10-15 million per month, estimating 10-15 jobs monthly in collaboration with another Senior Estimator.
- Analyze project requirements, collaborate with project stakeholders, and develop budgets aligned with client needs.
- Maintain and improve the company's 33% bid success rate, ensuring quality over quantity in competitive bidding processes.
- Lead preconstruction efforts, including detailed take-offs, subcontractor solicitation, and value engineering as needed.
- Stay updated on market trends and pricing to maintain accuracy in cost projections.
- Leverage Building Connected, Excel, and proprietary tools for effective estimating.
Profile
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to the role, including:
Experience and Skills:
- 10+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor specializing in interiors.
- Proven success in commercial office and medical space fit-outs.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload effectively, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Building Connected, Excel, and familiarity with proprietary estimating software.
