Business Analyst (Mandarin Required)

The Business Analyst will support the Technology Department within the Financial Services industry by providing technical assistance and ensuring seamless IT operations. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and efficient multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Description

System and Application Support

• Gathering Details: Collect information about incidents and queries raised by users.

• Analysis & Resolution: Analyze collected details to solve problems and provide answers. If higher-level (HO) team assistance is required, prepare detailed documentation for IT service management (ITSM) tickets. Record resolutions for future reference.

• Facilitation: Coordinate meetings between users and head office (HO) teams regarding incidents, questions, and projects.

• Project Assistance: Aid in project execution tasks such as drafting business requirements, facilitating discussions, conducting user acceptance tests, addressing issues, documenting processes, and obtaining final approval.

Data Support

• Requirement Gathering: Collect and understand data needs from users.

• Discussion & Clarification: Engage in detailed conversations with users to refine their data requirements.

• Data Extraction: Retrieve necessary data from existing databases based on specified criteria.

• Database Integration: Combine routine data into a centralized repository for business purposes.

• Reporting Tool Creation: Develop reporting utilities when recurring data requests are identified.

• Tool Management: Oversee, sustain, and enhance reporting tools.

Business Automation Development

• Requirement Collection & Analysis: Gather, evaluate, and discuss automation needs with users.

• Documentation: Clearly define and record all requirements.

• Web-Application Development: Design and build internal-use web applications.

• User Training & Testing: Educate users and assist them during application testing phases.

• Application Management: Manage, maintain, and improve web applications over time. Profile

* Bachelor's degree is required for this position

* A minimum of 3 years of financial market business related experience and at least 3 years of IT system related experience in the banking industry are required

* Experience related to coding and SQL are required

* Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin), including speaking, reading, and typing skills, is essential

* Good presentation, quantitative analytical, and interpretative skills with thorough knowledge of industry, related products, applicable policies and procedures

* Fluent in Chinese and English is required
